Exfinity Venture Partners Invests in LensBricks
31 March

Exfinity Venture Partners, a fund focused on the technology sector and a STEP investee company, has invested in LensBricks.

Founded in 2013 and based in Silicon Valley, LensBricks is transforming the imaging industry by developing smart sensing technology for people and their homes.

The Imaging Industry progressed from photographs to movies by adding the dimension of time. By adding depth, the industry brought about a new form of interaction in the form of games through various devices. LensBricks has transformed the industry by adding a fourth dimension—the thermal dimension. The Smart Camera incorporates this feature so that queries about a video are powered by computer vision instead of being text based. With a unique combination of hardware and software, it gives meaningful insights about activities in the scene by using task specific imaging to make sense of the scene on the spot via distilled imaging. All powerful analytics happens locally on the smart camera thus reducing bandwidth requirements by a huge order of magnitude.

The Team includes:

•    RajeswariKannan (Founder), a graduate from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science. Prior to LensBricks, he was Head of Research for Nokia.

•    Pranav Mishra (Chief Architect and Co-Founder) is an alumnus of IIT, Bombay. Prior to LensBricks, he was Principal Researcher at Nokia.

•    Dr. Ramesh Raskar, Professor of Computational Imaging at MIT, Boston. He graduated from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
